Fall SU Extravaganza 2009

This is a super cute card, but not something that you could mail without costing you an arm and a leg.
This stamp is so cute. Mom had to buy it!
This little notbook holder is made out of a cute file folder! It holds a notepad and a pen goes in the ribbon knot
Behind this pumpkin was a tiny envelope that has pumpkin spice potpourri --smells delicious.
The paper with the diamonds is embossed and then sanded very cute idea. This is so cute for a gift.
This part that comes out has cut outs to hold a gift card to the movies or Blockbuster This card made me want the turtle stamp
I love how nice it looks to color on watercolor paper. Everything blends so nice.
Mom, Kristin, and I went to the Fall Stampin Up Extravaganza. We had a great time and loved the stuff we made. I even won a prize this year... the set that had the turtle stamp I wanted. YAY!

Mini Album

I had the idea to have Valerie make her hubby a mini album to go with her surprise birthday present (a trip to San Fransisco). I always know that when I have a paper crafting idea for her, it means I will make it. I had fun making this cause it's always quick and easy to do when you have no pics, and she had bought a paper pack with coordinating stickers.

Ryker

I made this for my friend, Richelle's baby. I love the saying it's sooo cute. Brown and Blue theme is popular right now!

Diaper Cake

This is the diaper cake that Kristin and I put together for Kristy's baby boy, Nathan. She had a blue and brown theme, so we picked out all blue and brown stuff. Very CUTE!

Purse and Card

The purseMatching card The other day Valerie and I went to ArtCo in Tacoma, to search for some random things. She found this cardboard purse that she thought would be cute to hold a wedding gift for her sister's friend. Somehow ;) it and the paper, magically made it home to my house, so I decoupaged it. Of course when I was done I had to make a matching card. It was super fun to do. I wish I would have put a button or a flower on the purse flap, it would have made it that much cuter!

Quilt Class

All of the blocks I finished in class
Sister Scouten had a quilting class this morning at the church. We learned how to make the blocks for our quilts. I was a little nervous with my fabric choices, but I really liked how it's turning out. I'll post more later.

Weekly Challenge #13

This weeks theme was Birthdays. This is AJ's first birthday. I actually really love the layout and everything, it's nice to be satisfied with something. The only thing I was bummed about was that I found the matching paper to the invite so that could have been cute. but I like this paper better so oh well:)

Weekly Challenge #12

Ayden's layoutAshten's layout.
A little late but, it was mostly done on time, then we went out of town. So here it is. It's kind of plain, but I actually kind of like it that way. Maybe next week I will go over the top!! hahah I haven't heard what the next theme is ladies.
(I ran out of matching paper for AJ's :( darn)

Weekly Challenge #8

Yeah, I skipped a few challenges, but today I had Kristy over to work on some scrapbooking. So I did this First Haircut challenge, since I already had the pictures printed (and since I chose it). I had lots of fun so maybe I'll get my butt back in gear. I am a week away from finals though, so not making any promises:)

Firemen Quilts

I finally finished these two quilts for two of the firefighters who were the most helpful on our tour for playgroup a few weeks ago. Our whole family loved them and wanted to keep them, but today we went over to the fire station and dropped them off for Fireman Peter and Fireman Kris along with all the pictures the kids had drawn for them and a picture of the whole group.
On a side note: after my good deed of the day., I totally got a ticket for speeding like 2 streets over from my house (in my Grandma's driveway) ....ARGGHH!

Pirate Party

Mom and Kristin really helped me out tonight. After spending a couple of hours finding an idea I liked, I ran home and picked up the stuff I needed. We whipped these things out pretty quickly considering all the steps. Mom did all the embossing. Kristin and I worked on cutting and coloring. Then Mom got the inside writing done too! I couldn't have done it with out them. I don't know why Ashten's birthday just sneaks up on me every year and I feel so rushed to get it done. Thanks girls for your help:)

Weekly Challenge #3

Last week's challenge was The 4th of July. I like the stars. If I was going to do it over I would A) print the large picture of Ayden in black and white, b)Definitely not put that 4th of July title like that. I think I am fairly happy with everything else. oh and C) I would have finished on time. I am late because I've had an overwhelming week. I started school, started painting Ashten's room, and just the overall daily things like house, laundry, kids, meals, etc. Hopefully everything will begin to balance and I will be able to continue doing all the things I love!

In Honor of the VanderHoeven's

.
This does not show that most of the bench to the left is covered in junk, under the bench is 100% full, the shelves above it are 100% full. Also what you can't see garage floor. We're lucky that our garage is twice as tall as the avg garage that gives us more room to fill. SAD huh!

Weekly Challenge #2

This is the second week of the Weekly challenges!! I'm so excited about them this is more scarpping than Ive done all last year...slight exaggeration. I was so excited that I finished it up by Sunday. I love my new Sure Cuts A Lot program for Cricut. It cut out this adorable little Frankenstein for Ashten's page. Hope you like it!!
These are the other two kids pages. I don't see any reason to design three different pages for the same holiday so I just change the pics. On Ayden's the Give totalyl bugs me but I couldn't dig it off an move it. Darn. AJ's turned out so cute with the 2 cute 2 spook. Thanks to Mom for helkping me work through that issue:)

Needle Felted Snowman

I get a magazine called Home Arts and on the cover they had a bunch of these ornaments made in all different color combinations. i thought that they were so cute and maybe easy. And you all know my only goal in life is to try every craft known to man! HAHA So I went to Joann's with a gift card and picked up some of the needed items. It is an expensive craft but I did some substitutions and made it work for fairly cheap. Instead of using wool roving Which I did use for the snowman's face, I used sheets of felt that was only 8 for 96 cents instead of 3.99 per color of roving. It was kind of fun and I like how it turned out...although I don't really like this color combo, but I think once I get all of them done it will be very cute to have all diff color combos.

Megan had an idea of doing a weekly scrapbook challenge. This weeks challenge was a two page layout dedicated to our High School Reunion. It didn't end up how I planned in my head but it felt good to do some scrapping and to complete it. Can't wait for our next challenge.
If you want to join in the fun, our next challenge's topic will be Halloween. Create a two page spread the due date to post is Friday the 23, 2008. If you are joining in, post a comment to this blog or Megan's craft blog at http://4evercre8ing.blogspot.com/ saying that you want to accept the challenge:)
Megs did I miss anything?
